About the Festival

2027

The world's greatest literary show turns 20 in 2027!

The 2026 edition of the Colombo Literature Festival was held with its characteristic panache and grandeur in January 2026. Like each year, it continued to foster powerful literary discourse and engage with the most pertinent global themes. Bringing together leading voices from literature, politics, science, and the arts, the Festival was a forum for diverse perspectives and meaningful exchange.

As we enter our 20th milestone year, the Festival remains an inclusive and inspiring space for literary dialogue, where books are superstars, ideas are debated, stories shared, writers have the spotlight, art and music weave an intrinsic thread, cultural diversity is celebrated, and innumerable connections are made between people.

BookMark

2027

In 2026, the Colombo BookMark (CBM) brought together stakeholders of the book trade from across the world – from publishers to literary agents, writers, translators, translation agencies and booksellers.
